Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang’s Singapore concert cancelled, tickets will be fully refunded

It seems like Rainie Yang fans in Singapore will have to wait a little bit longer to see the Taiwanese singer. On Wednesday (Aug 7), BT Mediaspace – the organiser of Yang’s Like A Star concert in Singapore and Malaysia – announced the cancellation of her Singapore show which had been slated for Aug 24 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Citing “unforeseen circumstances” for the concert’s cancellation, BT Mediaspace assured fans that tickets will be fully refunded – with refunds arriving within one to two billing cycles.
However, in the post, BT Mediaspace also mentioned that “information regarding a new date venue will be provided shortly”, causing fans to speculate that Yang’s concert has been postponed and not outright cancelled.
CNA Lifestyle has reached out to BT Mediaspace for comments.
Rainie Yang had been set to return to Singapore after a five-year absence. Yang’s Like A Star world tour, which has been going on since 2020, is named after her song which was written and produced by her husband, singer-songwriter Li Ronghao, and is meant to commemorate the 20th anniversary of her debut.
